Lamb meatball shakshuka is my all-time favorite. I would recommend dining in, as the dish is served in a shallow pan with challah bread. It has the perfect mix of sweetness and spiciness from the pepper, sourness from the tomato sauce, an aromatic touch from the herbs, and the soft texture of the lamb meatballs that give you a cozy feeling, like having hot soup on a cold day. The place is usually crowded during lunchtime on weekdays, but they serve the food quickly. You’ll need to find curbside parking or walk a little to get to the place.

Strawberry, Roasted Peach & Chicken Salad $14.85: EAT THIS. Super yummy and fresh. It is the end of the season for strawberries and peaches, so I was warry, but this was fresh and light, not heavily dressed. The cheese added a nice creaminess, but I was surprised it was missing the usual tartness feta has. The chicken breast wasn't dried out. The cashews were a nice unexpected surprise that added crunch. RECOMMEND. GF Chicken Salad Sandwich $12.50: So I had an initial bite that had like too much butter or something in it, fatty and odd. After that, the taste improved drastically, and was nicely balanced. OKAY. Kale & Apple Juice 12oz $6.00: Refreshing! I could taste both the kale and apple, and one did not overpower the other. RECOMMEND. Oatmeal & Walnut Cookie (GF) $3.50: EAT THIS. A love a soft cookie that has a bit of crunch on the outside for texture and this was perfect. Not too sweet, and the walnuts added nice texture. RECOMMEND. It is a bright lovely space. While I know they are attempting to maximize space, seating feels too close. I sat at the bar facing out to look out the windows. I am a normal woman, but I had to put my bag on a stool next to me, and thing felt too close. I was lucky to be there during down time or I would have been brushing people to get to my seat. SO if you are like me and like your personal space, seek to go during off peak hours. I didn't like where the location was to bus your plates when you are finished, I hat to walk back up to the front and pass the register. I understand why they do this, to make it easier for staff, and keep the visual space clear. I still found the placement off. Staff were not the nicest, but I went in there to eat, not make friends, but something to keep in mind. Verdict: GOOD. TRY IT OUT.

Classic. All the tatte's are quite tasteful, but I would try something on the menu you think is unique and hard to make. I got some egg scramble for breakfast/brunch, but it was sort of underwhelming.

WORTH the hype! While researching nice places to go eat in Boston prior to coming here, pretty much everyone mentioned Tatte and I definitely understand why. We ended up having breakfast here every day of our trip because of the various options they offer and tried some sandwiches for dinner once that were very good as well. The first thing you see when coming in is their pastries assortment, which is mouth-watering. We couldn’t try everything, but what we tried was GREAT (something similar to a cinnamon roll and a crumbles cheesecake). Coffee was great. Service was great. Honestly wish I had more time to try everything on the menu, it’s clear that they put effort on their dishes being tasty with high-quality ingredients and great combinations.

We stopped into Tatte Bakery & Café in Cambridge and were not disappointed. I had the “Egg in the Hole” with added ham — the homemade bagel was soft and chewy, and the salsa on top gave it the perfect kick. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. We also tried the egg and cheese on a fresh croissant, which was buttery, flaky, and absolutely delicious — classic done right. Their coffee was decent and paired well with the meal, though not the standout compared to the food. Overall, a great spot for a casual, well-made breakfast. We’ll definitely be back!

Delicious food so worth the price. Lots of great options on the menu. Had the winter salad, which is a seasonal entrée, and want to go back again tomorrow for it. Interesting taste of cinnamon in there. Always enjoy looking at the pastries, although some end up disappointing slightly. Uncomfortable seating and I don’t know what they were thinking with the shared table in the middle, but it has a wooden bar running under it that makes it impossible to sit without constantly banging your knee.
